American Fintech Council (AFC) Inaugural Awards to Recognize and Celebrate Thought-Leadership of Responsible Innovators in Fintech

Winners to be announced at 8th Annual AFC Policy Summit to be held at The Westin Washington, D.C. City Center on November 19, 2024

AFC will convene Policymakers, regulators, consumer groups, and industry at the largest and most important regulatory and policy discussions of the year

Washington, D.C. (May 8, 2024) – The American Fintech Council(AFC), the premier industry association representing responsible fintech companies and innovative banks, is proud to announce the inaugural AFC Awards to be presented at the 8th Annual Fintech Policy Summit at The Westin Washington, D.C. City Center on Tuesday, November 19th. The Policy Summit continues to be the premier destination for regulatory thought leadership and industry best practice. This year’s Summit is set to be the largest fintech policy event since inception, bringing together prominent industry leaders, regulators, policymakers, academics, lawyers, and consumer advocates, amongst others.

 

“The Summit convenes the biggest industry, policy, and regulatory thought leaders in financial services and is the perfect opportunity to recognize the individuals and companies that have had the biggest influence,” said Taylor McCarthy, VP, Head of Events at the American Fintech Council. “Our diverse members are committed to working with policymakers to create an appropriate framework to foster responsible innovation in financial services. The awards will recognize 5 distinct categories including: (1) Fintech Advocate of the Year; (2) Emerging Policy Leader; (3) Legislator of the Year; (4) Exceptional Woman in Fintech; and (5) Innovative Banker of the Year. The Summit will convene at a critical juncture that could impact the short- and long-term shape of fintech policymaking and regulation. Nominations are now open.
